ABOUT PULSE TRANSFORMER

A transformer that is used to reproduce the Pulse incident at Primary Side on the Secondary with neigligible Phase Displacement and Amplitude is known as a pulse transformer. These are frequently employed while transmitting digital information as well as in transistors, mostly in gate drive circuits.
A good transformer must have galvanic isolation and distributed capacitance. For circuit defense, capacitance with low coupling is also important to guard the circuit.
The major function of this transformer is to impart voltage pulses between windings and the load. These transformers are put in practice for galvanic isolation (signal transmission), low-power control circuits, and the main components required in high-power SMPS. By using this transformer, amplitude in the voltage pulse can be changed; the polarity of the pulse can be inverted, coupling different stages in the pulse amplifier and isolation transformer. This transformer aims to impart a pulse for semiconductor devices as well as give electrical isolation.
